Craig Faulkner, Head Coach
Craig is a highly accomplished baseball figure with a distinguished career as both a player and coach. A former standout catcher at Louisiana State University (LSU), Craig played in the minor leagues from 1987 to 1994, primarily in the Baltimore Orioles organization, reaching the AAA level. Since 1999, he has served as head baseball coach at Venice High School, where he has built one of the state's premier programs. Under his leadership, the Venice Indians have won multiple Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) state championships (including titles in 2007, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2018, and 2019) and captured the National High School Invitational (NHSI) championship in 2025. Craig was inducted into the FHSAA Hall of Fame in 2018 in recognition of his on-field success, player development, and emphasis on academics—highlighted by two FHSAA Academic Team State Championships (2007, 2015). He has also been involved in elite travel baseball as a co-founder/director of the Florida Burn organization. A passionate leader focused on excellence on and off the field, Craig continues to develop talent and achieve at the highest levels of high school baseball.
